Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. to host next 2015 Shred Day August 29

Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. will host its next Free Community Shred Day of 2015 on Saturday, August 29 from 9 a.m.-noon or until the trucks are full.

Two Shred-it shredding trucks will be on site at the Imlay City Office of Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. for people to drop off their shredding. This event is open to the entire community. You do not need to be a LCBT customer to participate.

Paperwork is deposited into a special bin. Once the bin is full, it is wheeled to the mobile shredding truck, where it is lifted and dumped in. Each 96 gallon bin of paper takes less than three minutes to shred. It is not necessary to remove staples, paper clips or bindings – the truck will shred through them. Please do not include compact discs, floppy disks, magazines or newspapers. Please also limit your paperwork to be shredded to 10 banker’s boxes to help ensure everyone can take part in this service.

This is the 9th year that LCBT has hosted Free Community Shred Days. In total, more than 100 tons of paper has been shredded. There will be one more Shred Day in 2015, on Saturday, October 3, shredding will be accepted at the Main Office from 9 a.m.-noon.
