Final 2016 Shred Day October 8 in Downtown Lapeer

Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. will host its final Free Community Shred Day of 2016 on Saturday, October 8. This is the final opportunity of the year to shred your sensitive documents, so don’t miss out!

Two shredding trucks will be the LCBT Main Office in downtown Lapeer from 9 a.m.-noon, or until the trucks are full, for people to drop off their shredding. This event is open to the entire community. You do not need to be a Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. customer to participate.

Paperwork is deposited into a special bin. Once the bin is full, it is wheeled to the mobile shredding truck, where it is lifted to the mobile shredding truck and dumped in. Each 96 gallon bin of paper takes less than three minutes to shred. It is not necessary to remove staples, paper clips or bindings – the truck will shred through them. Items that should not be included are compact discs, floppy disks, magazines or newspapers. Please limit your paperwork to be shredded to 10 banker’s boxes to help ensure everyone can take part in this service.
