Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. to host first 2015 Shred Day May 2
Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. (LCBT) will host its first Free Community Shred Day of 2015 on Saturday, May 2 at our Main Office location in downtown Lapeer.
A Shred-it shredding truck will be on site at the Main Office of LCBT from 9 a.m.-noon for people to drop-off their shredding. Paperwork is deposited into a special bin. Once the bin is full, it is lifted and the contents are dropped into the mobile shredding truck. Each 96 gallon bin of paper takes less than three minutes to shred.
It is not necessary to remove staples, paper clips or bindings – the truck will shred through them. Please do not include compact discs, floppy disks, magazines or newspapers. This event is open to the entire community. You do not need to be a Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. customer to participate.
This is the 10th year that LCBT has hosted Free Community Shred Days. In total, more than 122 tons of paper has been shredded. There will be two more Shred Days in 2015; on Saturday, August 29, shredding will be accepted at the Imlay City office and on Saturday, October 3, shredding will be accepted at the Main Office in downtown Lapeer. All shred days run from 9 a.m.-noon.
