Lakestone Bank & Trust to host first 2019 Shred Day on April 27

Lakestone Bank & Trust (Lakestone) will host three Shred Days in 2019. The first will be on Saturday, April 27 at the Main office in downtown Lapeer, the second will be on Saturday, May 18, at the Capac office and the last one will be on Saturday, September 28 at the Imlay City office. Lakestone Shred Days are free to the community and run from 9 a.m. to noon or until the trucks are full.

Xtreme Shreds, LLC. will be on site with their mobile shredding truck. Paperwork is deposited into a special bin. Once the bin is full, it is lifted and the contents are dropped into the mobile shredding truck. Each 96 gallon bin of paper takes less than three minutes to shred.

It is not necessary to remove staples, paper clips or bindings – the truck will shred through them. Items that should not be included are: plastic bags, compact discs, floppy disks, magazines or newspapers. Please limit paperwork to be shredded to 10 banker’s boxes to help ensure everyone can take part in this service. This event is open to the entire community. You do not need to be a Lakestone Bank & Trust customer to participate.

This is the 14th consecutive year the Bank has hosted Free Community Shred Days. In that time, 224 tons of paper has been recycled. To find out more about Lakestone Bank & Trust visit LAKESTONEBank.com.
