LCBT Announces Promotions
Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. (LCBT) is pleased to announce the promotions of Cherry Newlon to Loan Operations Officer, Alex Shoemaker to Commercial Loan Officer, Debra Coe to Branch Administrator, Stephanie Schaefer to Attica Branch Manager and Elizabeth McVety to South Main Branch Officer.
Cherry Newlon hired into Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. in 1996 as a Data Processing Operator. She has since worked as both a Retail and Commercial Lending Processor II before her recent promotion to Loan Operations Officer. Newlon recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Baker College with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting.
Alex Shoemaker has been with Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. since 2009 where he started as a Teller. He then moved to Management Trainee, Special Projects Coordinator, Commercial Loan Associate, and recently promoted to Commercial Loan Officer. Shoemaker earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Psychology from the University of Michigan. He is a 2013 graduate of the MBA Robert M. Perry School of Banking. In May, he will graduate from Michigan State University with an Executive Masters in Business.
Starting at the Bank as a teller in 1992, Deb Coe moved on to work as a Customer Service Specialist, Assistant Branch Manager, Branch Manager, South Main Branch Officer and recently promoted to Branch Administrator. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from University of Michigan with a minor in Psychology. She graduated from the MBA Robert M. Perry School of Banking in 1999. Taking over for Coe as the South Main Branch Officer is Elizabeth McVety, who has been with the Bank since 1999.
Stephanie Schaefer began working for Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. in 2002 as a Teller. Moving on to Teller I, Teller II, Customer Service Specialist, Imlay City Branch Assistant Manager, South Main Branch Assistant Manager II and recently promoted to the Attica Branch Manager. She has both an Associates of Arts and an Associates of Business from St. Clair Community College. Schaefer is a 2015 graduate of the MBA Robert M. Perry School of Banking.
