LCBT kicks off 2015 Scholarship Program

Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. has announced that it will provide up to 4 scholarships of $1,000 to qualifying graduates of Lapeer County high schools. Students awarded the LCBT Scholarship are eligible to apply for a $1,000 extension award for an additional three consecutive years.

Graduating seniors from Lapeer, Dryden, Almont, Imlay City, North Branch and LakeVille schools may apply for the awards. Home schooled students who live in these districts will be considered eligible by providing documentation of high school equivalency and college eligibility as an incoming freshman. The student must plan on attending an accredited two or four year college or university.

Eligibility is based on financial need, as well as a submitted essay and academic performance.

Students need to submit a fully completed scholarship application, as well as an essay, high school transcript and the first page of income tax forms for both parents and the student.

Application information is available on LCBT.com and in all LCBT Offices. Completed applications can be returned to any Lapeer County Bank & Trust Co. office or emailed to scholarships@lcbt.com.
